Shri M. Paramasivam

Non Executive Chairman

Shri M Paramasivam assumed charge as Executive Director of the Bank on 1st December, 2022.

Shri Paramasivam, an agriculture graduate, started his journey in Canara Bank as Agricultural Extension officer in the year 1990 and has served the bank for last 32 years in various capacities as Branch Head of VLBs, as Regional and Circle head of various regional and circle offices and also headed Priority Credit Wing at Head Office, Canara Bank.

His experience and contribution is spread across multiple domains of Branch Banking, Credit, Priority Sector, Forex and Trade Finance, Compliance, among others. During his tenure as Wing Head at Priority Credit Wing at Head Office, Canara Bank, FRUITS portal was started in coordination with NABARD and Karnataka State Government. He was also instrumental in commencement of five Agri Credit Centres in terms of EASE-3 norms.

Shri Paramasivam has also undertaken Leadership Development Strategy Program organized by Banks Board Bureau and Indian Banks’ Association.

Shri Birupaksha Mishra

Nominee Director            (Non-Executive)

Shri B Mishra is a commercial banker having experience of more than 36 years.

He has served Central Bank of India as General Manager heading important verticals like Credit, Credit Monitoring & Information Technology. He has worked as Executive Director of Erstwhile Corporation Bank and Union Bank of India. During the period he has also held board level positions in subsidiaries of respective Banks.

He is a Post Graduate and Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banker (CAIIB).

He has undergone various Executive Management & Leadership Development Programmes conducted by IIMs/ASCI/MDI and undertaken Certification Programme on IT & Cyber Security conducted by IDRBT.

Smt. Mousumi Majumder

Nominee Director           (Non-Executive)

Smt. Mousumi Majumder is currently serving as the Group Chief Risk Officer, IRMD Division at Punjab National Bank, bringing with her three decades of banking experience. She holds a degree in Chemistry and has completed the Certification of CAIIB (Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers).

Her banking career began in 1992 when she joined Oriental Bank of Commerce as a probationary officer in Kolkata. Over the years, she has held various roles in different locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana, and Kolkata. With 15 years of experience in leadership positions, she is known for her passion for banking and enjoys working with teams.

Throughout her career, Smt. Mousumi Majumder has been recognized and awarded multiple times for her achievements as a team leader. She received awards from the MD & CEO club in 2014 and 2022. She has also undergone extensive training from reputable institutions such as CAFRAL (Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning), IRDBT Hyderabad (Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology), and Banker's Quotient Academy.

She is been identified by Banking Board of Bureau, for the Leadership Development Programme for Senior Management of Public Sector Banks in 2021-22. In addition to her banking responsibilities, she is actively involved with various NGOs that focus on the welfare of stray animals, showcasing her commitment to social causes.

Shri. Arvind Kumar Jain

Independent Director

Mr. Arvind Kumar Jain served as an Executive Director of Punjab & Sind bank till January 2017. Up to Chief General Manager in Oriental Bank of Commerce, he holds a strong professional banking experience of over 38 years in Treasury, Corporate Credit, International Banking, Equity & Debt Capital raising, Compliances and Risk Management.

Currently, Director on the Board of NBFCs, Asset Management, Insurance, Venture Capital & other companies besides Member of Review Rating Committee of a leading Rating Agency.

By qualification he is B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., LLB & CAIIB and empanelled with Independent Directors Databank (IICA Certified)

Shri Mohammad Abid Siddiqui

Managing Director & CEO

Sh. Mohammad Abid Siddiqui is spearheading growth across Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Advisory, Trusteeship, and Advisory Services. He brings strong strategic capabilities in Investment Banking, ECM, Corporate Credit, Treasury & ALM, Resource Mobilization, and Business Planning.

A seasoned banking professional with over 20 years of experience, he has built deep expertise across Corporate Credit, Treasury, and Retail Banking. He has led the Retail Asset Management (RAM) Credit Vertical, driving credit strategy and portfolio performance, and has extensive treasury experience as a Senior Dealer (Debt) at PNB's Integrated Treasury (Mumbai) and PNB DIFC (Dubai), with strong exposure to fixed income markets and ALM.

He has also held key leadership roles in Planning & Marketing at the Circle level, contributing to business growth and operational efficiency, and served as Circle Head, Darbhanga (Patna Zone), where he successfully managed regional operations and business expansion.

By qualification, he is a science graduate and also hold MBA in Finance Degree. He also holds certificates such as CAIIB, Diploma in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management, CICC(Moody’s).

Shri Debashish Mukherjee

Independent Director

Shri Debashish Mukherjee is an MBA (Finance) from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata, under the University of Calcutta, and is also CAIIB qualified. He has over three decades of extensive banking experience with three major Public Sector Banks, namely Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India and Canara Bank, where he has handled a wide spectrum of banking operations across both retail and wholesale banking.

His core area of expertise has been large corporate credit. In addition, he has held various key assignments in areas such as Recovery, Risk Management and Foreign Exchange Business at different levels. He has also headed a Large Corporate Branch and a Region of the Bank.

During his tenure as Executive Director of Canara Bank, Shri Mukherjee had the opportunity to oversee a wide range of banking functions, including Human Resources, Risk Management, Overseas Banking, Treasury, Associates & Subsidiaries, among others. His diverse experience provided him with comprehensive exposure to the strategic and operational aspects of banking.

Shri Mukherjee has served on the Boards of several subsidiaries of Canara Bank as a Nominee Director, including Can Fin Homes Ltd., Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Ltd. and Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company Ltd. He also chaired various Committees of the Boards of these entities.

He has also served as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Canara Bank Securities Ltd.

Presently, Shri Debashish Mukherjee is serving on the Board of Bandhan Bank as an Independent Director.
